We are tracking our migration in Smartsheet here: FirstNet Migration Tracking

Before Migration Day

Please enter each of these steps the sheet as you complete them. This way we are all on the same page and ensure all the steps are completed.

  1. Reach out to the user and determine when they would like to come into the office for the migration
  2. Ask if they need data from their old phone moved to their new phone
    1. If they need data from their old phone:
      1. Ensure they know their Apple ID and password. They can find the Apple ID they are using on their current phone by opening Settings > Select their name at the top. Their email address should be listed under their name at the top of the screen.
      2. Once they know their email address, ensure they know their Apple ID password. They can test it on their computer by going to https://icloud.com in their web browser. They can also reset their password by clicking “Forgot Apple ID or password?”
      3. Ensure they know their Sequoyah username and password. If they don’t know it, we can reset it for them when they come in and set it up with that
      4. Update iPhone to iPhone 15 if not already
      5. Create an iCloud backup prior to migration date. Instruct the user to follow the steps here: Get temporary iCloud storage when you buy a new iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
    2. If they do not need data from their old phone:
      1. Ensure they know their Sequoyah username and password. If they don’t know it, we can reset it for them when they come in and set it up with the new password
